Module 1.
INTRODUCTION. OVERVIEW OF AERONAUTICAL INDUSTRY (1 ECTS)

The content of this module allows establishing a first contact with the aeronautical world, providing an overview of the aviation industry and the role Airbus and its military section on the world stage. Knowing the current products and their level of market penetration, as well as a historical review of the company. Finally, are presented some aspects of personnel management of a company.

The contents include: vocabulary definition and terminology usually related to aeronautics field. An overview of global aviation world, including product lines, markets, competitors, manufacturers, operators, etc. And a brief description of how to steer the aviation business, supported by business models, industrial plans, general economic plans, etc., compared with other businesses and scenarios.

Module 2.
MATERIALS, AIRCRAFT COMPONENTS AND AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS (3 ECTS)

Along this module are presented and discussed materials, components and systems used in aircraft manufacturing. In this module are approached the following items: Introduction to metal alloys and compound materials in aeronautics. Analysis and review of aircraft structures from a viewpoint of manufacture, considering both metal structures as compound materials. The main systems that allow operation of the aircraft are presented, making a sequential review of electrical systems, pneumatic systems, fuel management, hydraulics, electricity, landing gear, flight control and finally the weapon system. Finally, the problems of system integration, standardization and communication between subsystems are analyzed.

Module 3.
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING (3 ECTS)

In these module concepts of linear programming, transportation and assignment, Networks and flows in networks and their Project Management applications (Management Planning, Quality Management, associated costs, etc.), Planning and Production Management Systems, Production Controlling and programming Operations, Transportation and Distribution and Inventory Management are exposed.

Module 4.
MANUFACTURING PROCESSES AND OPERATIONS (3 ECTS)

This module reviews manufacturing technologies used in the aviation industry, complementing the planning module production. If an overview of the organization and operation of the productive system was provided at that module, now it descends to the detailed study of manufacturing processes. The goal is to provide participants with the basic understanding of the fundamentals, applications capabilities and manufacturing processes used in the aircraft manufacture.

The contents are organized into two blocks. A first block of technological foundations and description of the manufacturing processes for metal forming (Sheet Metal Forming, Super Plastic Forming, Peen Forming , etc. ), material removal processes (Machining, Chemical Milling, etc.), processes manufacturing compound parts (RTM, Filament Winding , Fiber Placement , etc. ) and manufacture and assembly of electrical harnesses. And there is a second block with more practical orientation, and applied to aviation industry environment, where specific equipment and machines, distribution plan, the types of parts produced for different projects / aviation programs, technological capabilities are described, etc.

Module 5.
QUALITY (2 ECTS)

The target of this module is to provide basic knowledge about quality and its management. Quality is a key element in current manufacturing processes, and the aviation industry is particularly affected by these Quality needs. Along this module the concepts and techniques are discussed to understand Quality Systems, Techniques Quality Management, Standardization and Certification, etc. both its generality and its application to the aviation industry. Given the cross-cutting nature of Quality, part of these contents is taught distributed within the different modules of the master.

Module 6.
PERFORMANCE AND IMPROVEMENT (LEAN)(2 ECTS)

The aim of this module is to provide theoretical and applied knowledge on Lean Production, with special emphasis on its application to the aeronautical sector. Lean Production includes a set of management philosophies and operating techniques for eliminating waste, improving process quality and production time and the final cost thereof. Among others, are explored in this module the TPS, Kaizen , JIT , etc. philosophies and Kanban, 5S, Poka Yoke, etc. Because of the horizontal nature of Lean philosophy, part of these contents is taught distributed within the different modules of the master

Module 7.
ASSEMBLY OF AEROSTRUCTURES (3 ECTS)

The content of this module presents the technology of joining processes and assembly used in aviation industry. Initially joining processes are discussed as are the mechanical connections (clinching), adhesive bonding and welding. Then the aero structures assembly facilities, the organization of such facilities and their operation are described in operation.

The aim is to provide participants to be able to organize rationally a process to assembly a possible new aero structure, including the definition of workflow characteristics, identifying the main tools and limitations of manufacturing facilities, testing equipment, quality aspects and logistics, as well as the main requirements of the facility.

Module 8.
INDUSTRY 4.0 AND MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING (3 ECTS)

In this module an overview of key issues in the industry are presented, such as the approach to product design, production-design integration, product variants management and technological change management. It is structured in two parts, a general of the aspects mentioned above, and a second which aims to train participants in aspects regarding mechanical design and functional interaction with manufacturing processes, from a practical standpoint.

Module 9.
SKILLS (3 ECTS)

The way of transmitting ideas and information is a necessary aspect in global and highly technological companies, in which teamwork and knowledge management is essential. This module aims to develop and apply knowledge and skills necessary to develop successfully communication, a meeting and / or negotiation effectively in a professional field. This is carried out mainly through workshops in order that students can acquire and implement these skills.

Module 10.
SUPPLY CHAIN, PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS (3 ECTS)

Management Global Supply Chain bases. Technical Support networks Supply Chain. Supply Chain Design. Supply Chain Operation. Manufacture or acquisition and Compensations. Goods, services and tender sources. Development of the supply chain, current trends and tools. Supply Chain Quality management. Industrialization. Planning deals. Order management systems and information. Purchase, delivery and management of payments to suppliers. Management cost accounting in external supply chain. Inventory management and logistics products. Warehouse management. Transportation systems and material handling.

Module 11.
FINAL ASSEMBLY LINES AND MRO (2 ECTS)

The aim of this module is to provide a comprehensive description of the final assembly line of the Airbus A400M, given its impact on national and European aviation industry. The following aspects are analyzed:  Machines and tools used; plant distribution stations and equipment; Tests and inspections; engineering Process; final assembly lines Quality.
